Quality-of-life can increase with multidisciplinary pain therapies
Research published in the “American Journal of Clinical Oncology,” was based on a comprehensive analysis of 2,246 articles from multiple sources from the last 5 years. The authors suggested that the take-away of this research for a community oncologist is that combining “various pain-related treatments, providing not only a pharmacological approach but also a contribution from various healthcare fields, including physiotherapy, psychology, nutrition, etc.,” can enhance the quality-of-life of patients.
